Job Summary

The warehousing and transportation of building materials

Duties include:

• unload and receive goods into the warehouse
• transport goods to their stock locations
• label goods for customers and branches
• book goods on to the computer system
• receive returns goods in to the warehouse
• transport returns goods in to the warehouse
• load returns on to suppliers transport
• advise branches of availability of stock for transfer
• pick customer orders
• load customer orders on to transport
• maintain a clean and safe work place
• operate a Fork Lift Truck (License Required)
• ensure the workplace is secure
• take part in stock takes
• present a professional image of the company
• fulfil any reasonable task that is requested

• ensure that goods are accurately booked in and discrepancies reported
• check that goods are in good condition when received
• accurately label goods for customers and branches
• accurately book goods in on the stock system
• ensure that all returns documents are accurately completed
• ensure the safe operation of equipment being used
• safe loading of stock
• conform with health and safety

• have a willingness to learn the products on sale
• learn the computer stock system
• have the physical strength to carry out duties
• have knowledge of the health and safety laws
• have the ability to be a team player
